The Lithuanian regulator LRTK has published figures on the usage of Netflix in the country.
Based on data provided by the State Tax Inspectorate under Lithuania’s Ministry of Finance about Netherland-registered Netflix International B.V., which manages Netflix, they show that it had around 90,000 subscribers in the first half of this year. It had 84,000 in H1 2022 and 86,000 in H2 2022, and further back 20,000 in 2019 and only around 7,000 in 2018.
LRTK says that Netflix is currently one of the most important players in the Lithuanian audiovisual media market and has a significant economic impact on service providers of the market and all local audiovisual production producers.
