Sky Deutschland’s streaming service WOW is now available on the waipu.tv 4K stick.
The move is part of a strategic partnership between waipu.tv’s parent company Exaring and the German pay-TV broadcaster, which is to be further expanded in the future.
Initially, the WOW app can be accessed via the Google app store; in future, it will be pre-installed on the waipu.tv 4K stick.
The aim is to fully integrate WOW into the waipu.tv product world: Customers will then be able to sign up for a combined waipu.tv Perfect Plus subscription package and WOW at a reduced price. The launch of the offer is planned for 2024. Similar bundles already exist with Netflix and DAZN.
“With WOW, we are adding another brand with great appeal to the offering for our customers,” Exaring board member Markus Härtenstein said in Munich. “We are currently talking to numerous other partners. Collaborations are important in order to make all our customers’ favourite content and apps available as easily as possible and from a single source. Our waipu.tv 4K stick will thus become the central entertainment device in the living room.”
