Swiss network operator Sunrise has added Japanese pay-TV channel NHK WORLD PREMIUM to its offering on November 1, 2023.
The channel, which customers can subscribe to via the Japan package, offers a general interest service with news, series, music, children’s programmes and sports from the four domestic NHK channels. Broadcasting in Japanese language for viewers abroad, NHK WORLD PREMIUM is available in a total of 20 million households in over 100 countries.
Sunrise is the first platform operator to distribute NHK WORLD PREMIUM in Switzerland. The Liberty Global subsidiary also offers English-language free-TV news channel NHK WORLD-JAPAN as part of its line-up.
