The Czech internet TV service DVTV has launched a new channel in partnership with T-Mobile.
Known as DVTV Extra, it is offered exclusively on Magenta TV and combines the news and journalism of DVTV, whose name comes from the initials of the main two presenters, Daniela Drtinová and Martin Veselovsky, together with unique content from popular Czech creators.
Commenting on the channel, Zdenek Spurny, T-Mobile TV and partner development manager Czech Republic, said: “We try to constantly bring something extra to our customers and expand Magenta TV’s programme offer with attractive and often exclusive content for some time. I am glad that the journalistic and news topics that DVTV covers, together with the original work of popular internet creators, will now be available to TV viewers from T-Mobile, and there is even more news”.
DVTV editor-in-chief Jan Rozkosny added: “We are happy that together with other very successful independent creators we will appear on classic TV screens.
“Their projects have already broken through in the very competitive environment of the online world. We are convinced that they will also interest other viewers who may have heard of them but have not yet seen them on TV. This will change radically now, and many creators will soon be among the most famous faces on the screens”.
Separately, T-Mobile has added BBC First to its Dramox platform.
