Russia’s Red Media has rebranded its proprietary channel Kuchnya (‘Kitchen’).
It was previously known as Kuchnya TV and its new name reflects the multi-platform nature of the brand.
Commenting on the rebrand, Roman Stolyarsky deputy general director of Red Media, said: “Our audience has long ceased to be “television” in the classical sense. The channel is watched on a variety of platforms, we are close to our audience in those environments where they are comfortable. We already have off-air projects, and we will continue our development in digital. And in this sense, “TV” set us the framework from which the brand has already grown”.
Broadband TV News notes that Red Media is a subsidiary of Gazprom-Media Holding.
