Michal Kubal has been appointed the new editor-in-chief of news and journalism at the public broadcaster Czech Television (CT).
As of the beginning of November, he will lead the editorial office together with deputies Martina Riebauerová, Edita Horáková Hardosová, Aneta Snopová and deputy Martin Reznícek.
Kubal is one of the main faces of CT news. He worked as a permanent correspondent in the US, reporting on war conflicts and conducting interviews with leading world figures. In recent years, he has also moderated the key discussion and news programs of CT24 and, from the position of deputy editor-in-chief, supervised the operation of all specialist newsrooms.
In his new role Kubal will be responsible for the content of all programmes of the News and Publicity and Broadcasting Division of CT24.
