The Ukrainian billionaire Ihor Kolomoyski has transferred the ownership of 1+1 Media Group of companies to its management, headed by Yaroslav Pakholchuk.
In a statement addressed to 1+1 Media and the regulator National Council, he said: “I have made a decision to transfer the corporate rights belonging to me to the management of the labour team, in the person of Yaroslav Valeriyovych Pakholchuk, the general director of TV and Radio Company “?Studio 1+1”?, who as a representative will act in the interests of the companies and on behalf of the labour team”.
Kolomoyski will remain the ultimate beneficial owner of 1+1 Media and the decision is for a period of five years.
He added: “Today, it is extremely important, especially in the conditions of turbulence and a full-scale invasion, to preserve the working mechanism that has been formed for years and to ensure the continuity of the team’s work in order to fulfill the tasks of the information defense capability of the country, which are entrusted to it”.
