Israel’s communications minister Shloma Karhi is looking into the possibility of closing Al Jazeera’s bureau in the country.
Quoted by Reuters, he added that the proposal had been vetted by Israeli security officials and was being vetted by legal experts. He also went on to say that he would bring it the cabinet (on October 15).
Karhi continued: “This is a station that incites, this is a station that films troops in assembly areas (outside Gaza) … that incites against the citizens of Israel – a propaganda mouthpiece”.
“It is unconscionable that Hamas spokespeople’s message goes through this station”.
