The Czech Republic’s Atmedia plans to raise the cost of advertising on the thematic channels it represents by 15-20% in 2024.
According to the company, this is due to the continuing high demand for TV advertising. Its MD Michaela Surakova added that “In order to be able to offer clients more space for TV campaigns, we also decided to change the business target group and we also plan to further expand the portfolio of thematic channels”. Atmedia will start next year with 24 measured thematic channels and four commercial packages.
Surakova continued: “Unfortunately, we have to turn away a number of clients, especially in the exposed months. Thanks to moving the lower age limit by three years, next year we will offer 4% more advertising space to TV advertising contractors”, justifying the change in the business target group from 15-69 years to 18-69 years.
At the same time, she added that next year, Atmedia plans to expand the portfolio of thematic TV channels and thus offer TV advertising contractors more advertising space. “We are currently dealing with several clients and I believe that in the spring of next year we will present a new addition to our family of thematic TV channels”.
