Digi Spain and abrdn have completed the first investment financing the rollout of a FTTH network in Andalusia.
The aim is to eventually pass up to 2.5 million homes in the provinces of Almería, Cádiz, Córdoba, Granada, Huelva, Jaén, Málaga and Sevilla in accordance with an agreement concluded on March 21.
The first investment covers 1.35 million homes passed, while the deployment of the entire network will cover an additional 1.15 million homes passed, implying a total investment of up to €300 million.
The total investment will be committed in substantially equal parts by Digi Spain and abrdn, potentially also involving bank financing.
