ADB has officially become a Preferred Member of the RDK, thereby taking a key step towards further strengthening its commitment to RDK open-source software development for broadband gateways.
According to ADB, with this move it aims to provide comprehensive solutions to telco operators who want to leverage the benefits of the open RDK platform, which standardises key features used in connected broadband, video, and IoT devices, thus ensuring interoperability between different devices and service providers. Open-source RDK allows to take advantage of ready-made components and libraries that accelerate the deployment process of new services and devices while also providing the opportunity to create a unique and personalised experience for customers.
