Orange is launching a new version of its Livebox product, compatible with XGS-PON and offering fibre speeds of up to 5 Gbps downstream and 1 Gbps upstream for residential customers and 8 Gbps downstream and 2 Gbps upstream for business customers.
Livebox 7 will also allow all household members to benefit from the best Orange Wi-Fi experience through Wi-Fi 6E, which allows for the simultaneous connection of several devices to one of three available frequency bands.
The Livebox 7 is part of the eco-design approach recognised by the Bureau Veritas “Footprint Progress” certification. This is an internationally recognized certification body that bases certification solely on the product life cycle (mainly manufacturing, transport, distribution, customer use and end-of-life).
“Thanks to Wi-Fi 6E, which is available with the Livebox 6 and 7, our customers can now enjoy the best of Orange’s networks. The Livebox 7 is more efficient meets the most demanding connectivity needs. Our eco-design approach has been, for the first time, certified by Bureau Véritas. We are once again at the forefront of innovation for the benefit of our customers” says Jean François Fallacher, Executive Vice President and CEO, Orange France.
The Livebox 7 has been designed to be easily repairable, with a 100% recycled and recyclable cover, and offers the option of setting a standby mode to reduce energy consumption.
