The Czech Republic’s TV Nova has secured the broadcasting rights to Formula 1 from 2024.
It last held the rights nine years ago, when they were obtained by AMC International and the competition shown on Sport1 and Sport2.
Commenting on the development, Dusan Mendel, head of sports at TV Nova, said: “The acquisition of the rights to F1 underlines our commitment to bring the best sporting experiences and exclusive content of the highest quality to our viewers. Along with the Champions League, Bundesliga, LaLiga and NHL, another important global sports brand is being added, which has been growing in popularity in recent years”.
Nova will offer coverage of Formula 1 on its proprietary channel Nova Sport.
