DAZN has secured rights to the Serie A women’s competition in Spain, Italy, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Portugal, Belgium, Japan and Austria.
It will also have the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa during the 2023/2024 season.
The streamer says the deal reinforces its position as the reference destination for women’s soccer fans and consolidates DAZN as the largest investor in this category globally.
Hannah Brown, co-CEO of DAZN Women’s Sport, said: “DAZN already has an important football offer in all its markets and with the incorporation of Serie A Femminile, we offer more premium content adding value to our proposal. This demonstrates DAZN’s commitment to increasing the visibility and accessibility of women’s football and reinforces our strategic commitment to invest, develop and advance women’s football in our key markets and globally. In Germany, France, Spain and Japan we already have the rights to their respective domestic leagues, in addition to the UEFA Women’s Champions League and the F League globally, along with the NWSL except in the United States.”
DAZN is also the lead rights holder for the men’s Serie A competition.
