The Ukrainian regulator National Council has registered the linear channel Music Box Polska for distribution in the country.
The move is significant in that Music Box is the first foreign channel to be registered as its copyright holder Music Box Interactive TV is based in Gibraltar, which is not a member of the EU.
Under Ukrainian law, only TV channels based in the EU are allowed to be rebroadcast in the country without the need for registration.
Music Box distributes content in nine languages to viewers in Poland and Ukraine.
