Severina Pascu is to step down as Deputy CEO and Chief Consumer Officer of the Swiss telco Sunrise, though she’ll stay on as an executive advisor for a further six months.
Pascu will now work alongside Liberty Global CEO Mike Fries “to address new challenges and opportunities”.
Richartz and Stefan Fuchs will succeed her as Chief Consumer Officer of Sunrise Brand and Chief Consumer Officer of Flanker Brands, respectively.
As the former CEO of UPC, Severina joined the leadership team of the merged Sunrise in December 2020. She was responsible for the initial offerings of the combined company, established Sunrise as the new primary brand, launched the new Consumer division portfolio, and developed the Flanker Brands strategy with Yallo as a full-service provider.
“André Krause, CEO of Sunrise, said, ‘Severina Pascu has played a crucial role in driving and shaping the successful merger of Sunrise and UPC over the past three years, both at a strategic and operational level. I would like to thank her warmly for her significant contribution to our leadership team, culture, and the successful development of the Consumer business, and wish her all the best for the future.”
Pascu has worked across the Liberty Global portfolio with spells as Virgin Media’s CFO and Deputy CEO, UPC Romania, COO of Liberty Global Central Europe and UPC Switzerland.
