The authorities in Kosovo have accepted an appeal for Telekom Srbija’s MTS to continue operating in the country.
According to N1, the Agency for Business Registers (ARBK) in Pristina was ordered to review all changes and data in the register with strict compliance with the Brussels Agreement and other relevant regulations.
Commenting on the acceptance, Telekom Srbija’s DG Vladimir Lucic said that the Serbian telco is extremely satisfied with such a decision, which “confirms the truth and restores legal certainty for the business and functioning of MTS in accordance with the rule of law.
“After a great and difficult struggle, the truth has won for now, which is of great importance for our employees, users and people living in Kosovo and Metohija”.
Lucic added that this was just the beginning for MTS and the company would continue to develop. He also thanked the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and representatives of the international community for the help they had given in resolving the matter.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, Telekom Srbija lodged an appeal last month against the decision of the Kosovan authorities to close MTS.
