A+E Networks is in talks with several partners in Central Europe about launching FAST channels.
However, according to Tomasz Wysocki, business development manager CEE – linear TV and VOD, speaking to Wirtualne Media, it is too early to provide any more details.
He added that A+E Networks recently began to work with Amazon in Poland, launching its SVOD services History Play and C+I Play on an a la carte basis.
Both are offered for PLN7.99 (€1.73) a month, with Prime Video subscribers able to trial them for free for 14 days.
Wysocki pointed out that the situation in the US and UK is diametrically opposite to that in Poland, with expensive pay-TV services and cord-cutting allowing for the growth of FAST channels.
FAST channels are nevertheless starting to appear in Poland, with the largest number currently being offered by Rakuten TV.
