Dmitry Limar has been appointed the director of the Gazprom-Media TV channel 2×2.
Previously the MD of the Match TV channel, he will be tasked with relaunching 2×2 and updating its content, including through new sports, entertainment and educational formats.
Commenting on his appointment Limar said: “Relaunching a TV channel is a big responsibility and career challenge for me. I promise, the first results will not keep you waiting. We see our viewer as young and active, regardless of age. 2×2 remains the premier authority in the world of adult animation. Our path is evolution: we strive to follow trends and interests and give our viewers what is interesting to them now. This applies to animation, entertainment, sports, education and series lines. We place a special emphasis on sports and entertainment content: sports as a show, sports as entertainment and sports for everyone – we do not set restrictions”.
Denis Vsesvyatsky, the previous head of 2×2, will continue to work with the channel as a creative director and will develop animation projects of his own production.
