September 19, 2023 09.25 Europe/London By Broadband TV News Correspondent

AVOD und FAST Channel provider wedotv is now also distributing its FAST Channels wedo movies, wedo sports and wedo big stories on German streaming platform Joyn.

All Joyn users in Germany and Austria can receive the advertising-supported, linear 24-hour channels free of charge. The services are available in the Joyn app for smart TVs, tablets and smartphones, as well as directly on the web at www.joyn.de and www.joyn.at.

wedo movies offers viewers national and international movies, while wedo sports features live coverage of horse races, sailing, and golf tournaments, as well as highlights from football, Formula 1, e-sports, and martial arts. The documentary channel wedo big stories, which is operated together with Big Media Holdings, one of the world’s leading studios for non-fiction productions, screens documentaries about science, nature, and technology.

In the course of a newly concluded, first-time partnership with German production and distribution company OneGate, part of Studio Hamburg Group, wedotv has also acquired an expansive movie package with over 50 German and international titles.

“We are delighted that wedo movies, wedo sports and wedo big stories are now also offered by German super streamer Joyn, further expanding the reach of our three FAST Channels for viewers and advertisers,” said Philipp Rotermund, co-CEO and founder of wedotv. “At the same time, we are securing further first-class feature films for even more free content choice through our partnership with OneGate.”
