Dyn chooses AI video solution from Pixellot

September 14, 2023 16.38 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Pixellot, a provider of sports video and analytics solutions, and German sports streaming platform Dyn have completed the implementation of AI-automated cameras at 38 sports venues throughout the country.

Dyn, the streaming service by former German Football League (DFL) CEO Christian Seifert and publishing house Axel Springer, will cover a range of premier leagues from the country’s most famous arenas including the Audi Dome in Munich, and the Mercedes Benz arena in Berlin.

Dyn, which launched in August 2023, is venturing into the digital sports market with an initial focus on basketball, handball, table tennis, volleyball and hockey. As part of its ecosystem, Dyn chose Pixellot as an imperative part of its production, offering additional camera feeds for both the Handball Bundesliga (HBL) and Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) next to its broadcasting technology.

Pixellot’s AI-automated end-to-end sports production and streaming solution enables live and on-demand broadcasting without requiring a camera operator or producer on-site and offers an affordable way to deliver a unique TV-like experience for sports organisations, according to the company.

“Choosing an innovative company like Pixellot allows us to embrace new technologies to improve our infrastructure and deliver a robust production solution,” said Andreas Heyden, CEO of Dyn Media. “Pixellot’s technology is field-proven, and it made complete sense to make it an integral part of our production workflow.”
