Warner Bros. Discovery hires Rogier van de Paverd

Rogier van de Paverd has been appointed director digital & ad sales Benelux at Warner Bros. Discovery, effective September 4.

In his new role he will be ultimately responsible for ad sales for Warner Bros’ entire linear & digital portfolio. Discovery in the Benelux, including the channels Discovery, TLC, ID, Eurosport 1 & 2, Discovery Science, Animal Planet, Cartoon Network & Cartoonito. He will also take on the daily management of the sales team, which consists of Marleen van den Berg & Ellen Helmons.

Van de Paverd will report to Guillaume Coffin, head of affiliates ad sales & content licensing France, Benelux & Africa.

Commenting on the appointment, Coffin said: “It is a privilege to welcome Rogier to my team. His experience and seniority are an added value for Warner Bros. Discovery and we are confident that he can further grow our business. Rogier is an expert in the ad sales industry, knows the Benelux market inside and out and his leadership skills are recognized throughout the market. We couldn’t have asked for a better candidate and are delighted that he is starting today”.

Van de Paverd added: “I am looking forward to my new adventure at Warner Bros. Discovery and I am proud to represent its great brands in the Benelux. I look forward to working with the team to expand WBD’s strong position in linear TV and develop new digital capabilities”.

Van de Paverd has worked in the TV and advertising industry for more than 25 years, including almost 20 years in various roles at Paramount and predecessors ViacomCBS, Viacom and MTV Networks. Earlier this year he left Paramount, where he held the position of country manager Benelux.
