The Ukrainian regulator National Council has announced a tender for regional and local channels on the country’s MX-5 multiplex.
The channels will use the DVB-T2 (MPEG-4) standard and be required to allocate at least 60% of their weekly output to Ukrainian content.
They will not be allowed to rebroadcast other channels and required to allocate at least 5% of their weekly output to socially important and informative programmes on local topics.
The National Council notes that Zeonbud is the provider of electronic communications services for broadcasting needs using the radio frequency spectrum.
It adds that the deadline for submitting applications in writing to the National Council is November 10. They will then be considered until February 8, 2024.
