T-Mobile and Vectra join forces in Poland

August 30, 2023 13.30 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

T-Mobile Polska and Poland’s leading cable operator Vectra have signed an agreement on wholesale network access. Under it, T-Mobile will be able to provide internet access within Vectra’s network.

According to T-Mobile Polska, cooperation with the Vectra Group is another milestone in the development of its fibre-optic offer, which now includes companies such as Orange, Swiat?owod Inwestycje, Nexera and Fiberhost.

Andreas Maierhofer, president of the management board of T-Mobile Polska, added: “A comprehensive offer of services for the entire home is the basis of our development strategy. Therefore, on the one hand, we are constantly looking for new solutions with which we can enrich our portfolio, but on the other: we want to develop the availability of our services so that as many people as possible can enjoy the highest T-Mobile quality. Today we are taking another step in this direction. Thanks to the agreement with the Vectra Group, we will gradually gain access to approximately 4 million households, which will significantly increase the number of people who can benefit from our convergent offer”.

The agreement with the Vectra Group extends the range of T-Mobile Polska fibre optic services, which up until now covered 6 million households.

Tomasz Zuranski, member of the supervisory board at the Vectra Group, added: ”For the Vectra Group, this is a strategic partnership that not only strengthens our position as a key infrastructure supplier in Poland, but also proves that such a large operator as T-Mobile appreciates our quality and treats it as a priority – in significant areas we are its supplier first choice. We are constantly developing and modernising our infrastructure to provide the highest quality services and increase availability for additional operators and millions of customers”.
