A1 Croatia plans to invest up to €200 million in modernising its network and IT infrastructure this year.
Speaking in a press conference and quoted by Poslovni, Jirí Dvorjancansky, president of the management board, added that it invested a record €152 million in the first half of 2023, or 280% more than in the same period last year.
He added that the company has the largest number of fixed gigabit connections in the country (711,000) and that this will rise to 800,000 by the end of the year.
By 2025, A1 gigabit internet will be available to over 1 million households, or 70% of Croatia’s total.
Meanwhile, Ivana Markovic, the chief director for private users at A1 Croatia, said that 85% of users want the freedom and flexibility to change their TV packages free of charge once a month and 83% of those surveyed want to transfer their TV service to other locations.
Furthermore, 79% would like to try new service without contractual obligations.
