The Romanian National Audiovisual Council (CNA) has approved an ownership change at Antena TV Group, one of the country’s leading broadcasters.
According to Media Expres, it will see the transfer of shares of Dan Voiculescu’s daughters to a legal entity called Antena Holding SA, which now owns just over 83% of the group’s shares.
It adds that the previous shareholding situation included Voiculescu Camelia Rodica and Voiculescu Corina Mirela holding direct shares in Antena TV Group SA in the proportion of 43.98% and 39.22%, respectively. The two daughters of Dan Voiculescu own the company that will control the group, Antena Holding SA, in the proportion of 51% – Camelia Rodica and 49% – Corina Mirela.
Antena TV Group SA holds the licences for Antena 1, Antena Stars, Happy Channel, Zu TV, Antena International and the approval for the on-demand audiovisual media service Antena Play.
Antena 3, which is operated separately through the company Antena 3 SA, has also changed its shareholding by receiving Antena Holding SA which, however, will hold a minority stake of only 10%. It has been by Camelia Rodica, whose shares have been reduced from 40.6% to 30.6%.
