Telekom Srbija has announced it is to appeal a decision by the Kosovan authorities to stop its subsidiary MTS operating in the country.
Speaking to Radio Television Serbia (RTS) and quoted by Danas, the Serbian incumbent’s CEO Vladimir Lucic said it has 30 days to lodge an appeal and hopes the international community will take its side.
He added that should its appeal not succeed it will ask a court in Pristina to temporarily suspend the decision “because irreparable damage is being done to our company”.
Lucic went on to say the decision was made because a member of MTS’s management said Republic of Serbia on their passport. He also said the decision was a violation of the Brussels Agreement.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, Lucic has already said MTS will continue operating in Kosovo despite the termination of its licence.
