Roku ended the second quarter with 73.5 million active accounts.
This, according to the company’s latest results, was 16% more than in the same period last year.
Meanwhile, streaming hours increased by 21% year-on-year to 25.1 billion, though ARPU fell by 7% to $40.67.
Roku’s total net revenue in Q2 amounted to $847.2 million, or 11% more than a year earlier. Within this, platform revenue rose by 11% to $743.8 million.
Adjusted EBITDA in Q2 was -$17.8 million, -47% lower than the $12.1 million posted a year earlier, while its net loss slumped still further, by 14% from -$110.5 million to -$126 million.
Looking to the third quarter, Roku forecasts total net revenues of $815 million, total gross profit of $355 million, adjusted EBITDA of -$50 million and a net loss of -$155 million.
