Comcast says higher operating expenses within streaming platform Xumo and certain Sky operations contributed to an EBITDA loss within its Corporate segment.
The owner of Sky and NBCUniversal increased its Consolidated Adjusted EBITDA 4.2% to $10.2 billion.
Domestic Broadband Average Rate Per Customer Increased 4.5% and drove domestic broadband revenue growth of 4.4%.
However, it lost 228,000 customers within its Connectivity & Platforms territories that include losses in both Comcast households in the United States and Sky in Europe. It now holds 52.3 million customer relations.
Comcast no longer reports individual numbers for the Sky territories of UK & Ireland, Germany & Austria, and Italy. It declared approximately 23 million Sky customers as of December 31, 2022 and included approximately 5 million customer relationships outside of its Connectivity & Platforms markets.
