Turkey’s electronic communications sector had total net sales of TL41.5 billion (€1.51 billion) in the first quarter of this year.
This, according to Hurriyet>, quoting a quarterly report by the Turkish Information and Communications Technologies Authority (BTK), was 45% more than in the same period last year.
Net sales of the top four telcos rose by 19% year-on-year to TL30.76 billion, while those of others increased by 15.8% to TL10.72 billion.
Turkcell had the highest revenues (TL9.86 billion), followed by Vodafone (TL8.7 billion), Türk Telekom (TL6.69 billion) and TT Mobil (TL5.5 billion). The top four telcos invested TL6.6 billion and others TL2 billion in the first quarter.
The total number of broadband subscribers in Turkey stood at 91.6 million in Q1.
TTNet was the leading provider of services, accounting for 56.6% of the total, while total broadband revenues rose from TL4.5 billion in Q1 2022 to TL6.6 billion in the first quarter of this year.
