Central European Media Enterprises (CME) is planning to launch FAST channels.
Quoted in PPF Group’s annual report, Didier Stoessel, chief investment officer PPF Group, CEO, CME, said the company is “creating a new form of fast television, where niche channels (such as romance stories) are established and streamed live on the internet”.
Speaking more generally about its TV strategy, he also said: “CME is continuing to develop its linear television programmes and accelerate the development of time-delayed viewing and a new AVOD (advertiser-funded video-on-demand) platform which is financed by advertisers and offers video on demand”.
In addition, “we are also rapidly developing and growing our streaming businesses. The company’s revenue sources are much more diversified today than ever before”.
CME broadcasts 43 television channels, reaches 49 million viewers, and operates Voyo, a leading streaming service. It is present in six CEE markets.
