Czech Prima changes management structure

July 21, 2023 10.55 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Czech broadcaster Prima has changed the management structure of its online segment.

Following the departure of Igor Kalash, the long-time business director of Media Club’s radio division, will take over its management from August 1. His representative will be Hung Nguyen, the current director of online technology development of the Prima group. Both will continue to pursue the agenda they have been carrying out until now.

Tomas Vecera will also report to Jan Cadko in the position of director of online news and Petr Hatlapatka in the position of sales director of the Media Club’s online division. VOD director Josef Benes continues to be responsible for the prima+ video platform, who will now report directly to Prima Group CEO Mark Singer.

Commenting on the restructuring, Singer said: “Online is one of the three important pillars of the Prima group, where we have huge potential to develop our offer. Honza is a very experienced and energetic manager who has proven many times that he can systematically build the entrusted segment, motivate and develop his team and set up effective processes. Hung, in turn, demonstrated its pull on the gate during the development and implementation of the new prima+ platform. I wish both of them the best of luck in their new positions”.

Cadek added: “Leading the online segment in the Prima group is a new professional challenge for me and I am happy for this opportunity. My goal is to move the online segment, just like radio, to the front ranks in terms of traffic and video playback”.
