The son-in-law of Altice’s co-founder Armando Pereira has been suspended by Altice USA.
According to Diario de Noticias, news of Yossi Benchetrit, who is responsible for purchasing and real estate at Altice USA, has been confirmed by an official source at Altice’s North American subsidiary.
The source added that “in response to the circumstances in Portugal, we immediately launched an internal investigation”.
The investigation into illegal activities at Altice has already seen the detention of the Armando Pereira and self-suspension of the group’s co-CEO Alexandre Fonseca as part of ‘Operation Picoas’.
Fonseca was also responsible for Altice USA and the latter’s CEO Dennis Mathew has now also been appointed its chairman.
