Telekom Srbija secures Bosnian football rights

July 20, 2023 10.19 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Telekom Srbija has renewed the TV rights it holds to the Bosnian Premier League and Cup of Bosnia & Herzegovina.

As a result, viewers in Bosnia & Herzegovina will be able to continue watching domestic football on Arena Sport TV.

Commenting on the agreement, Telekom Srbija’s CEO Vladimir Lucic said: “Arena Sport is getting stronger every year, so Premier League and Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup matches can be watched all over the world. In this way, clubs can more easily get new sponsors, and Arena has shown in the last ten years that it really has the quality needed to promote football. Thanks to the BH FF and President Vico Zeljkovi? for the extremely good cooperation that will certainly continue in the future. We are expanding all over the world, and anyone who wants to watch the Arena can do so in a simple way. In this connection, the BH FF, in addition to financial compensation, also receives worldwide availability”.

BH FF president Vico Zeljkovi? added: “This is very important for the BH FF and the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I would like to thank the Telekom Serbia Group. We managed to secure certain financial resources to continue the activities we started. We are extremely satisfied and will try to be the best possible partner. We have already invested more than ten million in the reconstruction of the pitches, and we continue to work on the development of the competitions. We are satisfied with the signed Contract, which will allow the clubs greater visibility in the region and throughout Europe”.

According to one local report, Telekom Srbija paid €15 million for the rights, or €5 million more than the current ones it holds.
