The Czech public broadcaster CT is considering re-launching CT3, a channel it closed at the end of last year to cut costs.
According to Parabola, CT’s newly elected head Jan Soucek, speaking at a meeting of the CT Council, said that CT3 should return to its original format in its first year of operation.
This was not only archival material but content aimed at senior viewers.
Broadband TV News notes that CT3 was launched in March 2020 in response to the pandemic.
Just prior to its closure it had been watched by 94% of viewers aged over 65 and almost 7 million people aged over 15.
