Sky subscribers can now control their Sky Q box from their mobile phone after an update to the Sky Go app.
The feature, which can be accessed from the Settings menu, provides a basic set of functions including Home, Search, Channel up and Down, Play/Pause, Rewind and Fast Forward. A keyboard icon opens up numbers 0-9 to directly input EPG channels.
Subscribers with more than one box can use a drop down menu to switch between devices.
The new feature was introduced as part of an update to the current iPhone app.
A similar feature was previously available on the version of the app used for Sky+ but later withdrawn.
