Croatia ended the first quarter with close to 1 million pay-TV subscribers.
According to the regulator HAKOM, this was 0.39% more than a year earlier but 0.60% lower than three months earlier.
The number of IPTV subscribers at the end of Q1 stood at 483,303, up 1.84% on a year earlier. However, the number of those opting for cable (152,914) or DTH (131,751) were -2.95% and -4.34% lower respectively than in the same period last year. The number of pay-DTT subscribers stood at 96,462 (-8.17%).
Croatia’s electronic communications market was worth €375.7 million in Q1, or 8.4% more than a year earlier.
Meanwhile, pay-TV revenues amounted to €31.7 million, up 9.25% on Q1 2022. In the latter case, IPTV accounted for €18.2 million (+11.86%) of the total.
