The number of fixed broadband lines in Span exceeded 17 million for the first time in May.
According to data published by the regulator CNMC, this amounted to a penetration of 35.9 lines per 100 inhabitants.
FTTH continues to drive the market, with 103,356 lines added in the month, bringing the total to 14.2 million. Movistar accounted for 5.2 million FTTH lines, or 36.4% of the total.
Meanwhile, Movistar, Orange (including Jazztel) and Vodafone (including Ono) together accounted for 74.9% of fixed broadband connections.
