Virgin Media has launched the second phase of its ‘To Better and Beyond’ creative platform, shining a spotlight on its ultrafast connectivity and Wi-Fi Guarantee. The campaign showcases Virgin Media’s commitment to delivering minimum download speeds of 20Mbps in every room or providing customers with their money back.
Developed in collaboration with VCCP London, the integrated brand campaign introduces a new protagonist, the Goat Glider, symbolizing Virgin Media’s Wi-Fi Guarantee. The campaign continues with the tagline, ‘See What You Can Do,’ designed emphasise the power of Virgin Media’s ultrafast broadband.
The hero film opens with a captivating scene of a herd of goats struggling on a remote mountainside, teetering on the edge of cliffs. Accompanied by the iconic 80s hit St Elmo’s Fire by John Parr, the camera unveils a hang glider traversing the rocky terrain. As the glider gains momentum, a brave goat is revealed as the pilot. Reaching the mountain’s edge, the goat takes flight, soaring into the sky. As the camera captures the goat’s joyous expression, a voiceover delivers the campaign strapline, “Why stumble, when you can soar?”
The ad will be rolled out nationwide across multiple platforms, commencing on July 7. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sam Brown, the hero film spans 60 seconds. Following the success of the award-winning Highland Rider, Virgin Media and VCCP London again collaborated with Emmy and Bafta award-winning Untold Studios to create the courageous mountain goats, brought to life through CGI.
The mountain goat character will be featured across various upcoming brand and trading campaigns in multiple formats.
