The number of pay-TV subscribers in Poland was unchanged at 10.83 million in 2022.
Furthermore, according to an annual report published by the country’s Office of Electronic Communications (UKE), revenues in the pay-TV sector grew by only a modest 0.7% to PLN6.79 billion (€1.53 billion).
In terms of subscriber numbers, Cyfrowy Polsat accounted for 28.1% of subscribers, followed by Canal+ (19.5%), and UPC Polska (13.7%). DTH was the most popular form of reception (47.6%), while IPTV (16%) enjoyed the strongest growth.
DTH also claimed the highest share of pay-TV revenues (49.6%), followed by cable (38.7%) and IPTV (11.6%).
Canal+ had the highest share of pay-TV revenues (26.2%), followed by Cyfrowy Polsat (23.1%) and UPC Polska (16.7%).
