Digi’s Spanish operation has secured a €100 million loan from ING Bank and Banco Santander.
Valid until June 2027, it will be used to finance the construction of its fibre-optic network, and related equipment and infrastructure, as well as associated personnel costs.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, Digi had 4 million mobile subscribers in Spain as of the end of Q1.
Meanwhile, its fibre network already reached 6.5 million homes nationally, with over 5 million able to receive services of up to 10 Gbps.
