The streaming platform Rakuten TV has announced the launch of its first owned and operated FAST channel in Poland.
Known as Top Movies Polska, it will be made available to viewers from mid-July and offer a wide range of movie content, from both Hollywood and European distributors.
Top Movies Polska will be available for streaming on the Rakuten TV app across all devices and the first pure FAST movie channel on the Polish market.
In February, Rakuten TV enriched its AVOD catalogue in Poland by adding nearly 100 localised films. Moreover, it currently offers approx. 70 FAST channels in the country.
Commenting on Top Movies Polska, Rakuten TV’s chief content officer Marcos Milanez said: “Rakuten TV has established a wide coverage across 43 countries in Europe, and Poland has always been a key market for us since its launch in 2019 via TVOD, and more recently, with FAST & AVOD. We strongly believe on the advertising opportunity around CTV in Poland, and we’re confident on the Top Movies Polska potential, due to its top-quality Hollywood and European slate, and fully localised to the Polish audience”.
