T-Mobile doubles Czech giga coverage

June 28, 2023 11.06 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

T-Mobile Czech Republic has been able to double its gigabit internet coverage to over a million households.

According to the company, this has been made possible by other the construction of its own FTTH infrastructure and an agreement it signed with Vodafone last year. The latter gives mutual access to infrastructure.

It adds that on July 10 customers covered by Vodafone’s gigabit cable network can check the availability of T-Mobile services at their and subsequently order selected services. The cooperation concerns approximately 500,000 Czech households.

Building an infrastructure with gigabit speed has been one of T-Mobile’s main priorities for several years. The construction of FTTH infrastructure began in 2018 and it already covers134 Czech cities and towns.
