1+1 Media and Paramount Global have launched a localised version of Nickelodeon in Ukraine.
According to 1+1 Media, the channel is now available on many platforms, including OTT, the Viasat DTH service and cable networks, with a Ukrainian soundtrack. Furthermore, by the end of this year viewers will be offered over 200 premiere episodes of new series on the channel.
In a statement on the launch, Paramount Global said: “The launch of Nickelodeon with Ukrainian-language content is a significant event in the history of Nickelodeon in Ukraine, which brings children’s favorite characters closer to the Ukrainian-speaking audience. Thanks to our productive cooperation with 1+1 Media, we are preparing more than 500 hours of outstanding shows in the Ukrainian language, and the library of localised content will be replenished every day. We are very excited to communicate with our viewers in their native language”.
1+1 Media added: “Our important task is to ensure that Ukrainian children have access to high-quality thematic content in the Ukrainian language. The projects in the Nickelodeon portfolio offer not only entertainment content, but also combine an important educational function, which is in line with our goals. At the same time, they can be a source of much needed inspiration. We sincerely thank the international partners for thorough work and high-quality adaptation”.
