IBC says the number of bookings for floorspace at this September is booming with over 80 companies signing contracts since the start of May.
The number of companies that have booked space for this year’s event (September 15-18) now stands at over 1,000 with over 100 new exhibitors.
“We’re seeing tremendous demand for space at IBC2023, having already passed the 40,000 square metres mark in terms of exhibition space – up from the final figure of 37,000 (sqm) for last year’s show,” says Steve Connolly, Director at IBC. “Some of this growth is being driven by global companies taking as much as double the space they did previously, and if necessary, moving halls to do it.”
Those expanding their footprint include Gravity Media, LTN, Ross Video, and Zixi with Amagi, AWS, Cisco, Comcast, Deluxe, IMAX, Google Android, and Prime Focus all signing in the last month.
The organisation says its new Exhibitor Steering Group has now been finalised with its first meeting having been held in April, ahead of NAB. The latest list of members includes representation from Audiotonix; MediaKind; Synamedia; Skyline Communications; and EditShare.
The group will meet four times a year.
