BBC Studios has renewed its longstanding partnership with the Emirates airline.
The new agreement, which commenced last month, will give Emirates passengers an enhanced BBC offering with over 250 hours of new dramas, documentaries, factual entertainment and pre-school programming.
The content is being added to ICE, the airline’s inflight entertainment system in a dedicated BBC-branded area.
Zina Neophytou, VP Out of Home at BBC Studios said: “Emirates have been a key licensee of BBC Studios content for many years and we are very proud that our cooperation continues to grow and benefit our global audiences. This renewal gives Emirates passengers access to more hours of BBC content than ever before and the new interface features introduced from May will help them navigate easily to their favourite shows onboard.”
The recently rebranded BBC News channel will remain in the Emirates offer allowing passengers access to the linear news channel onboard.
The agreement was brokered by Zina Neophytou, Vice President and Peter Williams, Account Manager, Out of Home at BBC Studios.
