Türk Telekom refreshes IPTV/OTT platform

June 19, 2023 09.14 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Türk Telekom has transformed its new generation TV service Tivibu with the help of ZTE and Netas.

Alongside this, it has introduced a new channel named Tivilife, bringing together new trends from entertainment to nature, travel to food, and health to fashion, available exclusively on the platform.

Commenting on the development, Türk Telekom CEO Ümit Önal said: “as Türk Telekom, we are leading the way in every field, and we continue to change television viewing habits and broadcasting understanding with Tivibu, which we offer user-friendly innovative features. Since the day it started broadcasting, Tivibu, which offers unusual innovative features for the user experience in Turkey and shapes the sector with its firsts, continues its guiding vision in this area without slowing down. We renewed our platform by successfully completing our two-year-long work for the transformation of Tivibu’s technological infrastructure. With our new interface and user-friendly features, we take the TV viewing experience to the next level by personalising it with new technologies. With Tivibu, where we transfer our experience in the field of technology, we take the user experience to the next level with new generation technologies”.

ZTE Corporation Europe and America region president and Neta? chairman of the board Aiguang Peng added: “Today, we are excited to announce that one of Turkey’s largest IPTV/OTT infrastructure transformations has been realised with the cooperation of Türk Telekom, ZTE and Neta?. With this cooperation, Tivibu users will enjoy a different television viewing experience. We believe this project will be a good reference source for many operators and partners in the worldwide IPTV/OTT market”.
