LaLiga is to work with Play Anywhere on delivering viewer experiences that will enable consumers to watch, play, and buy services while viewing LaLiga’s content, including live games, video on demand (VOD), and highlight clips.
The new partnership provides an extension to the rightsholders’ media rights, allowing distribution partners to enable the Play Anywhere experiences around LaLiga content. This will deliver new revenue streams through sponsorships, advertising, e-commerce and where permitted gaming advertising and affiliate fees, while providing transparency to the commercial participants through real-time dashboards.

The service has already made its debut this quarter with LaLiga’s direct-to-consumer offering in Asia.

The two partners have signed a five-year contract.
