The European Commission has granted funding to the Spanish developer Mirada to expand its Iris TV ecosystem.
The money is coming through the CDTI (Center for Industrial Technological Development) and its NextGenerationEU fund that is centred on research, development, and innovation.
Mirada says the funding will be used to position Iris as “an international benchmark for super-aggregation of audiovisual content”, adding that the approach is relevant in the current context of the fragmentation of the video market.
The company wants to enable hyper-personalisation using AI and enhance the stability, scalability, and operability of the multi-device digital television platform.
