Globecast hires Jean-Christophe Perier

May 31, 2023 08.30 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Globecast has appointed Jean-Christophe Perier as its CMO, effective immediately.

n his new role, Perier will lead both marketing communications and product marketing for Globecast and be responsible for steering the marketing and external communications strategy worldwide. Working with his team, Perier will be focussed on continuing to deploy innovative services that satisfy an ever-evolving marketplace, not least across IP and moves to the cloud. This is alongside the strengthening of external communications to support the company’s global strategic initiatives announced last year.

Perier brings extensive experience across broadcast, cloud, IPTV and OTT services, having worked with clients such as Canal+, NTV+, Sky, Etisalat and Orange during his time at Technicolor and SoftAtHome. He also created and managed Veygo, developing OTT and multiscreen solutions, with Huawei, Ooredoo, Telecentro, and Vidgo as customers.

Commenting on his appointment, Perier said: “I am thrilled to be taking up this new role with Globecast, especially at such an exciting time in the industry as we see migration to the cloud and IP really taking shape. I am looking forward to identifying more growth opportunities, strengthening external communications, launching strong partnerships with industry leaders and developing innovative services to support Globecast’s continued success in the marketplace”.

His appointment comes as Denis Genevois, Globecast’s previous head of marketing departs after 22 years with the company, having held several managerial positions in pre-sales, marketing, and broadcast departments.

Philippe Bernard, CEO of Globecast, said: “I would like to thank Denis for his commitment and his involvement with Globecast; he will be missed. We are delighted to welcome Jean-Christophe to the team and believe his expertise and leadership will be instrumental in driving Globecast’s growth and increasing our visibility and awareness in the markets that we serve”.
